Abi chilton
Hi I'm Abi, a freelance photographer and creative based in Manchester. Since the age of fourteen I've began getting involved with many forms of media production, starting off my journey with a student-led company called "3005 Films" and taking on volunteer roles such as: camera operation, floor management, radio technician, photography and casting producing.
In 2023, I began studying at Access Creative College to gain a level three BTEC diploma in Creative Media Practice. Using this time in my education to further expand and specialize in the realm of photography and imagery. Outside of my studies and as my passion for storytelling grew I began exploring freelance as an independent and producing work surrounding the areas women's sports, weddings, live events and music.
Since August of 2024, I've been a photographer of digital music magazine Northern Exposure where I've had the opportunity to photograph artists like Clairo, Pulp, Lucy Dacus, Richard Ashcroft, CMAT and many more.
Being behind a camera is when I'm my most confident, documenting people's most exiting moments, emotions and careers. I strive for my work to encourage creatives to pursue their passions and to spark new conversations for the future of media.
